Ike's Lessons
Though a mere category 2 hurricane, Hurricane Ike was large, and swept a 20-25 foot storm surge toward the vulnerable
Texas coastline.

- Texas officials warned of a health crisis on Monday and urged thousands of people to leave Galveston,
where relief supplies were scarce for hungry, exhausted residents of the island city ravaged by Hurricane
Ike. In Houston, millions struggled to cope without power in the U.S. energy hub. About 2,000 people have
been plucked from flooded areas by helicopters and boats in the largest rescue effort in the state's history
as searchers scoured battered communities along the coast and Galveston Bay. Galveston, a city of
60,000, was decimated when the hurricane made landfall there on Saturday morning and 15,000-20,000
people remained in quickly degrading conditions. The city was bringing in a refrigerated mobile morgue.
Hurricane devastation is nothing new, but since the Zetas have indicated that the Gulf is among those coastlines that may
become uninhabitable even before the coming pole shift, the aftermath is worth noting.
Question: I am from Houston, and I can tell you I have never seen a hurricane close like this one (Ike), too much
damage in the city, no power. Thanks my husband has a generator and we were ready for this. Is it going to be
worse in the future and more frequents events like this?
ZetaTalk Response 9/13/2008: Absolutely. We have stated that before the pole shift that there will be many
coastal regions around the world that will be considered uninhabitable and used only for crops. Certainly the
regions of the Gulf of Mexico that are hammered by hurricanes regularly will be some of the first to recognize
this trend.
The Zetas attribute the worsening situation along coastlines to the Earth wobble, in place since Planet X arrived in the
solar system in 2003. This wobble is predicted to become more violent and extreme as the hour of the pole shift
approaches.
ZetaTalk Prediction 6/26/2006: We have predicted that coastlines will become uninhabitable, in many places, so
that crops are grown but man sleeps restless there. The degree of assault on coastlines that will occur as the
Earth wobble increases is hardly imagined by those predicting hurricanes.
This is lesson one - that many parts of the coastline, the Gulf of Mexico coastline in particular, might be uninhabitable in
the near future. Galveston, on barrier islands off the Texas coast, has been hit before. It's a known death trap.
- Hurricane Destroyed Galveston in 1900
September 12, 2008
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/weather/09/12/galveston.1900/index.html?iref=newssearch
- The worst weather disaster in American history took place in Galveston, Texas, in 1900 when a hurricane
estimated as a Category 4 intensity blew ashore, killing thousands of residents and obliterating the town.
The unnamed hurricane of 1900 collapsed houses in Galveston and turned them into a wall of debris.
Galveston Island was completely covered by 8- to 16-foot storm tides.
Ike was considered a mere category 2 hurricane. But in it's aftermath Houston, the largest city to be hit, suffered electrical
outages, carbon monoxide poisoning from generators, inability to keep food fresh without ice, long lines at emergency
distribution centers, worry about contaminated drinking water, rotting garbage at the curb, and a general irritability with
the interruption to normal lifestyles.
- Millions Struggle to Cope with Property Losses, Shortages
September 15, 2008
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/chronicle/6001811.html
- An estimated 10,000 people flocked to a food distribution site at a north Houston church this morning as
emergency officials opened six such centers around the Houston area and prepared to open 11 more by
day's end. The city's admonition to boil tap water before drinking it expired this afternoon. No evidence of
contamination has been found. Regular Houston garbage collection began today and Fort Bend County
with the possible exception of Sugar Land is planning trash pickup Tuesday of trees, shrubs and other
debris. In Houston, Mayor Bill White on Sunday ordered a weeklong curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. because
of the widespread damage and darkness. White today reported that Houston crime levels are below
normal, although fires have been more frequent. Despite repeated warnings from authorities regarding the
hazards of improper use of gasoline-powered generators, storm victims continue to fall ill with carbon
monoxide poisoning. With the area gripped by a massive power outage, millions of Houstonians got cranky
as they craved fresh coffee, cold air and their Sunday football fix.
Just imagine the scene if help was not forthcoming; if distribution of ice, water, and food were not in place; if generators
could not run because all the fuel had been used up and distribution of fuel was not possible. Imagine life under those
circumstances. This will be the situation after the coming pole shift when hurricane force winds will be worldwide and all
coastal areas will be assaulted by tidal waves rolling hundreds of miles inland. Add to this the earthquakes, a magnitude 9
worldwide. Can one hurricane and earthquake devastated area assist another? Help will simply not be forthcoming.
ZetaTalk Prediction 2/15/2001: In countries where social services exist, those desperate for a rescue will begin to
assume that the government will act, perhaps at the last minute but in time to rescue them. Announcements will
be made to peacefully evacuate cities and coastlines, tents will be erected, and the populace resettled after it is
all over with the worst of it the beans and rice endlessly served for supper. The military, politicians, and those
holding stakes in the cities and coastlines being deserted will put selfish interests aside and become
humanitarians, in the end. For those clinging to this hope for rescue, we would only point out that the
governments today do not act in this manner, but leave many starving children and injustices in their wake,
daily. Stressful times will not create heroes, they will create slamming doors.
Wall Street Crash
On Sunday, September 15, 2008, two pillars of Wall Street crashed and burned. Lehman will be forced into bankruptcy.
Merril Lynch & Co will be absorbed by the giant Bank of America. The giant institutional insurer, AIG, considered too
big to fail, received an infusion of $85 billion in a federal loan within days.
- Crisis on Wall Street as Lehman Totters, Merrill Is Sold, AIG Seeks to Raise Cash
September 15, 2008
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122139688846233147.html?mod=hpp_us_whats_news
- The American financial system was shaken to its core on Sunday. Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. faced the
prospect of liquidation, and Merrill Lynch & Co. agreed to be sold to Bank of America Corp. The U.S.
government, which bailed out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac a week ago and orchestrated the sale of Bear
Stearns Cos. to J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in March, played much tougher with Lehman. It refused to
provide a financial backstop to potential buyers. Lehman, a 158-year-old firm that started as an Alabama
cotton brokerage, and Merrill, with its trademark bull logo, have been pillars of Wall Street for much of
the past century. With the demise of Bear Stearns, three of the Street's five major independent brokers
could end up disappearing, leaving only Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley. The damage on
Wall Street is the latest consequence of a storm that began last year with the sharp decline in American
housing prices and losses on loans and other assets tied to home values. Massive capital infusions have
failed to stem write-offs and losses, and financial firms are running out of options to escape the damage.
Is this the result of the sub-prime mortgage mess, where less than prime mortages were packaged up and sold as A-1
rated securities? In part, yes, but the SEC under Bush/Cheney also relaxed regulations for the companies now failing.
Bear Stearns collapsed earlier this year, forcing a buyout. Now Lehman and Merrill are in trouble, and Morgan Stanley
and Goldman are seeking buyers. This puts their failures squarely on the shoulders of the Bush administration. And where
was the regulatory oversight on the subprime mortgage mess in the first place?
- How SEC Regulatory Exemptions Helped Lead to Collapse
September 18, 2008
http://bigpicture.typepad.com/
- The events of the past year are not a mere accident, but are the results of a conscious and willful SEC
decision to allow these firms to legally violate existing net capital rules that, in the past 30 years, had
limited broker dealers debt-to-net capital ratio to 12-to-1. Instead, the 2004 exemption - given only to 5
firms - allowed them to lever up 30 and even 40 to 1. Who were the five that received this special
exemption? You won't be surprised to learn that they were Goldman, Merrill, Lehman, Bear Stearns, and
Morgan Stanley.
Why was this subprime mess allowed to happen, and why were these Wall Street firms given the SEC exemption? Per
the Zetas, this was deliberate, to create a bubble that would disguise the reality of the economy under the Bush
administration.
ZetaTalk Comment 2/16/2008: The subprime housing bubble was encouraged by the Bush administration for
several reasons. One was to boost Wall Street, which was an obvious indicator of the plunging economy within
the US. If one factors in inflation, the DOW is far lower now than when Bush took office. Of course it was known
that illegal maneuvers would be used to force a bubble, and the regulators under Bush were told to turn a blind
eye to this. Insider trading is done all the time in order to maintain the DOW, and is likewise allowed while being
against the law. The main goal was to keep the DOW up, and to create a flurry of activity in the housing sector -
remodeling, new homes, and all the furnishings that new homes require. The S&L crisis allowed vast funds from
the public sector to disappear into private pockets. This was first and foremost a theft. But the housing bubble
was not expected to burst, as the pole shift was expected to arrive before this occurred. Yes, there were those
who ripped off the lending business and have tried to disappear with the funds, but the trail is there in stone - no
escape from eventual prosecution.
Per the Zetas, the globe has been in a depression, not a recession. The frequent references in the news lately to 1930, the
time of the Great Depression, are not by accident!
ZetaTalk Comment 4/5/2008: Wall Street knows that they are running a confidence game. If they were to admit
the real economic reality they would be admitting that the US and much of the world is in a depression, akin to
the Great Depression of the 1930s. They are hoping that you do not notice that the Emperor is not wearing
clothes. Joblessness is high, with employment numbers announced having no relationship to reality. New jobs are
cooked up via a mathematical formula called the "birth/death" formula, which assumes that if people are living
and breathing, they must be working. Those who use up their jobless claims are not included in the rolls at all.
Those who are drastically underemployed are likewise not included among the jobless but among the employed.
Corporate and personal bankruptcies and foreclosures are a better indicator of the economy, as are flagging
sales and corporate bottom lines. But you will never hear officials or Wall Street admit that!
Already, the Wall Street crisis has affected markets around the globe, even causing the Russian stock market to close.

- Russian shares suffered their steepest one-day fall in more than a decade on Tuesday, losing up to 20 per
cent, as a sharp slide in oil prices and difficult money market conditions triggered a rush to sell. Trading
was suspended on both the Micex and RTS stock exchanges as investors ignored assurances by Russian
officials and a cycle of distrust set in amid liquidity fears. Margin calls forced domestic traders to liquidate
positions and brokers pulled credit lines. At least one Moscow bank failed to meet payments.
McCain's Confusion
There have been hints that McCain has a senility problem - confusing Shia and Sunni several times, referring to the
nonexistant country of Czechoslovakia several times, and referring to a border between Pakistan and Iraq. All this has
gotten scant mention in the mainstream media, though senility in a presidential candidate should be big news. Now
another instance has hit the press. McCain appeared to have a senile moment, forgetting entirely that Spain is not in the S
American hemisphere but in Europe, even when reminded of this fact!
AUDIO: McCain's Interview
A careful review http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ of the interview confirms this analysis. Has there been a reason the
McCain campaign has kept John away from press conferences for more than a month previous to this interview? The
McCain campaign quickly mustered an explanation that McCain was merely snubbing Spain's prime minister, though this
is averse his previous stance. But McCain's response included a clear reference to the South American hemisphere,
"working with leaders in the hemisphere", which does not include Spain. He was befuddled.
- McCain Meant To Reject Spain Meeting, Adviser Says
September 18, 2008
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/18/
- The McCain campaign insisted Thursday morning that the Senator meant what he said when, during an
interview on Spanish radio, he refused to commit to a meeting with Spain's prime minister, Jose Luis
Zapatero. A review of the McCain interview suggests that the Senator was likely confused as to who
Zapatero actually was. Appearing on the Miami-based Union Radio, a Spanish language radio station that
conducted its interview in English, McCain touted his record "of working with leaders in the hemisphere
that are friends with us, and standing up to those who are not." This came even after the questioner began
that portion of the interview by saying: "let's talk about Spain." Certainly, it is possible that McCain
misheard the question, though the topic was subsequently brought up three more times. McCain in the past
has been open to closer diplomatic relations with Zapatero and Spain. As John Aravosis of AmericaBlog
noted, the Senator gave an interview to El Pais back in April in which he said that the differences between
the US and Spain should be swept under the rug.
Per the Zetas, McCain is indeed senile, becoming so at a rapid rate, and this fact may not be disguised for long. The
debates are coming!
ZetaTalk Prediction 9/06/2008: McCain's health is shaky, with senility becoming obvious even in settings where
he need not react quickly or to new issues. The debates are coming up, and despite the McCain campaign's
fervent attempts to learn of the questions ahead of time, there will be surprises galore. In this, McCain will seem
halting, dazed, unable to comprehend the question and searching for an answer amid the fog his mind has
become. This is the health issue that will emerge, and if the issue is obvious enough, all the debates may not
continue or else it will be Obama alone on stage. The point will be too obvious, with the Republicans horrified
and the press talking about lack of competence and former President Reagan's Alzheimer's condition.
The list of McCain's supposed "gaffes" increases, and the debates will make it impossible to hide John McCain from
responding without preparation to at least some of the questions. The big question is when the media will begin to discuss
this very important issue openly. Doesn't the public deserve to know?
- McCain's Age, Melanoma, Mental Lapses...and Palin...Demand an MRI Before November
September 19, 2008
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-abrams/mccains-age-melanoma-ment_b_127637.html
- McCain has also displayed many signs of inattention. The 'expert' on national security and Iraq could not
get straight the relationships among the Sunnis, Shia, al-Qaeda and pro-Iranian militias on several
occasions close in time. He makes statements absurd on their face such as "Sarah Palin knows more about
energy than anyone in the United States". The Chairman of the Commerce Committee did not know that
the SEC is an independent entity, not subject to being fired by the President. He rolls from one
inconsistency to another, and he has no anchor. He chose Sarah Palin with one telephone conversation
with him. An MRI would reveal the degree of brain atrophy and whether there are early signs of other
degenerative disease such as Alzheimer's.
