Lamont, missing the point repeatedly. Skip's point was that THE OFFICIAL FUNNEL FOR INFORMATION WAS BEING NARROWED TO RON BAALKE! This is a common technique when damage control is the issue. Defendant's lawyers insist their client's speak to no one and say nothing! Why? Because they're guilty and can be hung with their words if they natter on! A blazing beauty across the skies, as the public was led to believe would occur, does not need damage control. A REAL COMET DOES NOT NEED DAMAGE CONTROL. This was Skips point, where he says:

Lamont, missing the point again. Skip's point was that JPL IS TURNING THEIR BACK ON WEBBING HALE-BOPP JUST AS ITS SUPPOSED TO GO BANANAS. This was Skip's point. How come Charles Morris is doing this? Please note that in the quote below, that Charles Morris states he worked 40+ hours a week on putting up Hyakutake. This guy works for JPL, is their employee, and presumably they gave him the time to do this, considering it important. Now, Hale-Bopp was supposed to be mountains more important than Hyakatake, but JPL won't given him the time? Humm. Maybe JPL wants to wash their hands of Hale-Bopp. Where Skip quoted Charles as saying:
