All those scientific studies he quotes, just nonsense?. And those mastodons in Siberia flash frozen with eyeballs fresh to this date, with green grass and buttercups in their stomach, vegetation not growing TODAY for hundreds of miles to the south, all debunked?. And the fact that beaches world wide record a sudden drop of 16 to 20 feet, all about the same time frame approximately 3,500 years ago, debunked?

I know that the patterns Velikovsky was showing us EXIST AND ARE RECORDED IN ALL MANNER OF SCIENTIFIC STUDIES is scary, David, and some folks, like you, just don't have the guts to look at it and think about it. Just what is YOUR explanation for the flash frozen mastodons and the sudden and unilateral drop in ocean levels? These are not Velikovsky's claims, he just points us to the scientific evidence recorded by others, evidence not even in dispute! With a wave of your hand, debunked, not to be thought about, as its scary. Poor cowardly David!

I'll also point to some web sites that think otherwise, for anyone in the readership who might want to make up their own minds, and would rather prepare for the near future than run and hide.

Best yet, read Velikovsky's own books. Below is what Troubled Times has to say about Velikovsky, at

http://www.zetatalk.com/theword/tword01.htm

........

Immanuel Velikovsky wrote three controversial books, Worlds in Collision in 1950, Ages in Chaos in 1952, and Earth in Upheaval in 1955. He wrote the last, which documented geological changes, to support his first two books, which met with ridicule. To counter this ridicule he used the record of the past as written in the Earth itself, the geological record, which upheld his theories. Judge for yourself. Visit web sites on [http://access.digex.com/~medved/Catastrophism.html] Catastrophism and [http://www.kronia.com/~kronia] Earth Changes maintained by fans, which include the [href="http://www.knowledge.co.uk/xxx/cat/velikovsky.htm] Fortean Times. Velikovsky's books are out of print, but are in most libraries and are reprinted and offered by:

Buccaneer Books,
Inc., P.O. Box 168,
Cutchogue, New York 11935.

The Supplement in Velikovsky's last book, an address before the graduate college forum of Princeton University on October 14, 1953, is eternally inspirational and more relevant today than in the past.
